    My wife I bought this toy a few days ago and we had not tried it yet. Last night I tried to see what it would feel like on my arm, but I could not get the controller to stay on, nor adjust speed or intensity.
    I then took the unit back to the store and showed them that the unit did not work. They checked the others they had in stock and none of them worked either. After they gave me my refund, I went to another local store to see what they offered.
    I found that they had a few different electroshock toys, so we tried a differnt unit and we could not get it to work either. We figured that both units could not be bad and we must be doing something wrong.
    The sales lady then decided to try a pad from each of the different forked lead sets and BINGO, we had a winner!!!
    I saw that many of the posts on here were explaining the exact same issue that I was experiencing. This unit works fantastic, but the directions are horrible.
    If the person selling the product doesn't understand the directions, why would you expect the customer to figure it out.
    Again, great product! Terrible instructions! If you're trying the unit out with just two pads, by all means, make sure you use one pad from each of the different forked sets of leads or you will get nothing until you do.
